Day #12: Fake Bens, Killer Planks, and "This is Carrieeeee" (PA)

So today the alarm went off and I WAS actually exhausted. We were troopers though and rallied enough to walk over to Carrie's gym for yoga. I haven't been to a class in over a year so I definitely had to remind my body that I'm not as flexible as I used to be haha... The instructor was great but definitely pushed us to the point that if I had to do one more plank or sun salutation I was going to crumble into a million pieces.

After yoga we walked over to a cute coffee shop in the neighborhood where I spotted my favorite Alternative Baking Company cookies! Hooray! Vegan espresso chip cookie and pumpkin spice latte? Sounds like an appropriate breakfast after sweating my Asian pears off at yoga.

After our healthy breakfast we made a quick change and embarked on a long walk along the Schuylkill River. It's a really pretty walk and we got to see a lot of different parts of the city. There were tons of obnoxious people though and the Healy girls don't really like people a lot of the time.

After taking in random rollerbladers, the boathouses, and scenic shots of the Philly skyline, we headed over to the Philadelphia Museum of Art, where Carrie pretended she was Rocky and I subsequently pretended that I didn't know her. Then we thought we had found a Benjamin Franklin statue... But it was George Washington. Wah wah. What did he ever do in Philadelphia?!

After taking in the sights (and taking some pretty hilarious pictures) we headed back to the apartment where we hung out for the rest of the evening, doing work and being couch potatoes.

My body is already aching from yoga so I better pass out. Another really fun day under our belts!
