Day #30: Sassiness, Present Mountains, and Scattergories(GA)

So on Thursday we really had a hard time getting motivated in the morning, which meant that we slept until 1pm. Whoooooopsies! So I get up, grab Allie's MacBook, and settle in with the latest episode of Nashville on Hulu. The episode started with a bang, showing all these scenes I really didn't understand. I thought to myself "Ohhh they're probably going to show all these scenes and then rewind after a couple of minutes and say THREE DAYS EARLIER or something like that to show how each character got to that situation. So I waited. And waited. And BOOM. The episode was over. Someone didn't realize that her mother had watched the episode earlier that morning and since they share a Hulu Plus account it saves your spot in episodes. BAM. So I recovered, started from the beginning, and finally figured out how (SPOILER ALERT!) one character ended up in jail, one bought a new house, and one recorded a new song. It made so much more sense in context.

Then Allie and I texted from across the house in our inability to get out of bed, finally getting our asses out the door so Allie could go have a meeting at one of the boutiques here in Atlanta that carries her fab jewelry.

While Allie was being a working woman (in a non prosty way) I curled up in a chair at Starbucks and worked on my blog for you loyal readers and downloaded some new songs, including our favorite new CUnderwood ditty. Then I fetched my dear cousin a coffee and met her at Richard's Variety store, a really fun place with toys, games, funny gag gifts, etc. You get the picture. We totally spent the rest of the afternoon there, browsing the hilarious cards, picking out fun things to buy, and rolling our eyes at the obnoxious employees who don't know how to act around customers.

All week Allie and I we're able to hang out during the day and go on crazy adventures, but unfortunately Jess was only really able to join us in the evenings after she got home from work. We felt bad about this and wanted to cheer her up so we crafted a plan! A slew of Richards gifts and a couple of bags of pretzel M&Ms later, we snuck over to the restaurant where Jess works and used Allie's key to assemble a present mountain in the front seat of Jess's car! We were both geeking out and incredibly proud of this stunt, obviously. In the present mountain was Scattergories, Pictionary Man, the M&Ms, a cute little unicorn, a cat card, handerpants, and Mad Libs. Hilarious.

Then it was already dinner time so we agonized in traffic over where to go to eat. We were really hungry and sassy and all we wanted was Mellow Mushroom again. So that's where we went.

In the span of two minutes, as we made our way to Mellow, Allie had her sassiest moments yet:

Allie (in traffic): "We are so close. We are like kissing mellow mushrooms ass."

Me (Spying an adorable child being pushed in a stroller while we were finding a parking spot): "Hi cute baby!"
Allie: "I'm gonna run that shit over."

Awww. So sweet. We were clearly starving.

This time at the 'shroom we had an amazing waiter who treated us like royalty and who we wanted to be our best friend. Made up for the crappy one we had before. We devoured our food and all was right with the world.

Then we returned home and had some cat time, jewelry time, and Ab Fab time. We also FaceTimed with my mom and brother which was a real hoot. But it was great to see their shining faces! Then Jess got home (with her bundle of new presents!) and we broke open the Scattergories. I had never played before but by the end of the night we were getting sassy with our answers. For "F" and "things you'd find in a gift shop" I wrote "Fugly sweatshirts." Yuuuuppppp.

We were glad we got to do something fun for Jess and honestly, who doesn't like a present pile full of games?!

Night all! I promise I'll be productive and post Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and today's entries ASAP! xxx
