Day #20: Pups and Pumps (NC)

OK so this whole hurricane Sandy business?! I guess I got out of the northeast just in time! I'm freaking out a bit on behalf of all my friends and family that are dealing with the crazy winds and rain right now. Here's hoping that it won't end up as devastating as they're predicting.

Luckily, here we have very few traces of a hurricane. The temperature has definitely dropped and it's pretty windy but all in all not bad at all. I woke up this morning and showered, ate breakfast, and tried to be productive. I let the dogs out a couple of times, watched some morning TV, and tried to catch up on this Sandy business. In the afternoon Alex and I just hung out and watched some TV. When Carra got home she and Alex had to run out and do something so I was good and got some work done on the computer.

The dogs are hilarious by the way. Gunner is the typical youngest child who just wants attention and loves to smother you with love. This often ends in him jumping all over you because he's just trying to give you hugs. Can't fault him there! Brembo is also very affectionate and needy but he's able to just chill out and hang around you without reaching the jumping phase. But I LOVE being around dogs again. It's been way too long.

After Carra and Alex got back we settled on the couch with dinner and... Monster House on the TV! You see, every year I watch Monster House while I carve my pumpkin, and once I mentioned this to Carra she jumped right on board! So after we finished eating we started on the pumpkins. We're both October babies so we live for this stuff. In the end we had two adorably goofy jack o lanterns and lots of pumpkin seeds ready for roasting!

So I hope everyone is staying safe in the middle of this stupid hurricane. Use it as an excuse to eat lots of yummy food and watch a buttload of television and movies. But then again, I never need an excuse to do that! Night all.
