Day #21: Craftmasters and Crossing Things Off (NC)

So it's a good thing that Carra and I both love Halloween. And it's also a good thing that she's the craft master/Pinterest devotee that she is. This led to us starting to make some of our fun Halloween crafts today!

So we turned on this week's episode of Revenge and got to work on these adorable decorations: mason jars decorated like mummies and pumpkins. Using some medical gauze, orange tissue paper, paste, glue gun, and googly eyes we now have the most kick ass decorations for trick or treaters tomorrow. Along with our jack o lanterns of course!

Carra also made these "monster finger" treats out of pretzel rods, white chocolate (dyed green!), and almonds. So so awesome! There's still another pumpkin to carve and more decorations to create tomorrow. There's a reason why I love Halloween as much as I do!

After our crafting we just hung around for a bit. Once Carra went to work I got some productive things done on the computer. It felt good to finally cross something really important off my list. Now it's just time to wait.

I curled up with Gossip Girl on Netflix for the rest of the night until Carra got home around 10pm. Then we all curled up on the couch and watched some TV and attempted to tame the wild beasts (Brembo and Gunner).

At midnight it was officially Halloween... and more importantly, Carra's 22nd birthday! The scorpio birthday festivities continue!

Lots to do tomorrow so I'm signing off. Can't wait to show y'all all of the fun decorations and costumes!!

Huge hugs to my friends and family who have been affected by this asshole of a hurricane. I seem to have gotten out of New York/Philly/D.C. just in time. I know some of you still don't have power, and won't for a few more days, but I'm thankful you're all out of harm's way! Xoxo
